Richard G. Beaudry Biographical Information Deacon Richard Beaudry is performing his diaconal ministry of
administering the sacraments, assisting at
Mass, and teaching and preaching at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in
Seffner, Florida. He is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel who resides with
Bonnie, his wife of 40 years in Brandon. He spends much of his free time
visiting his four grown sons and four grandchildren in N and S Carolina, and
Orlando, FL. Beaudry holds a BA in Speech Education from Michigan State
University, an MA in Management from Central Michigan University, and has done
graduate work in Communications at Boston University and the University of
Oklahoma. 65
year old,
“Deacon Dick,” as he likes to be called, has taught Business and
Communication courses at the University of Tampa, Saint Leo College, and
Hillsborough Community College. He taught English Composition and Speech and was
formerly the Chair of General Education at Florida Metropolitan University in
Lakeland He is a PhD candidate in
Management (Leadership) He is an experienced manager and later director in
nationally known companies and government activities to include Honeywell’s
Defense Communication Products Division, Simulation Systems, Inc., and NASA
Houston’s Manned Space programs (Gemini and Apollo). In addition he has
created, owned, and managed, several business of his Own. He is a certified member of the American Academy of
Bereavement, and the Association of Pastoral Ministers on Aging. He taught the
first year orientation to two separate Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute classes
for the Diocese of St. Petersburg and was a Class Mentor for a group of ten of
the first class to graduate in the Diocese. In addition, he completed Diocesan
training for Religious Education and has certified two separate educational
groups as Catechists for the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Bishop Robert Lynch ordained him a deacon in June of 1997.
