St. Francis of Assisi offers a number of ways
parishioners can participate in our Music Ministry. Please feel
free to come up after Mass and talk with any of the directo=
rs
or choir members. We will be happy to answer your questions and
help you in any way we can.

Hispanic
Choir<=
o:p>
The
Hispanic Choir rehearses on Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
and sings at the Saturday 6:30 p.m. Mass. Please join us if you are
interested in participating.

Traditional
Choir<=

normally rehearses on Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and genera=

sings at the Sunday 11:00 a.m. Mass. Occasionally this group wi=
ll
sing at various other Masses and serves at major liturgies (e.g.,
Holy Days of Obligation, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, etc.)

To
accommodate families' vacation schedules, the Traditional Choir takes=
a
break during the summer, and the Thursday choir practices are
suspended during those months.

No =
formal
vocal training is necessary to join the choir and all age groups are
invited. For more infor=

Ensemble
Groups=

ller
ensemble groups sing during various Masses. Rehearsals for thes=
e groups
are generally held prior to their Mass.
If you are interested in joining one of these groups, please contact =

parents, are also invited to join the various choirs.

The primary function of a cantor is to serve as the Minister of the W=
ord
for the Psalm and Gospel Acclamation, as well as lead the congregatio=
n in
song. A cantor should possess a clear, strong voice and be able=
to
read music.
Instrumentalists

sp;
We =
are
constantly in search of instrumentalists to play at various Masses.&n=
bsp;
It matters not what instrument you play. Please join us if you =
are
interested in participating in this important area. You will be=
a
great addition to the Music Ministry.
